This week, INF Justin Trimble was named the Pioneer Baseball League Hitter of the Month of June, sponsored by RedPocket Mobile.
The Arroyo Grande, CA native joined the Chukars after being traded from the Oakland Ballers on the first of the month.
In the month of June, the former Astros farmhand hit .450 with 12 home runs and 47 driven in 26 games. He reached base over half of the time he came to the plate, with a .524 on-base percentage and slugged .890.
He was consistent in the Chuks order, reaching base in 24 of his 26 games played in the month, including a 15-game hitting streak, the second longest on the team.
He had 16 multi-hit games, including a pair of multi-homer days, as well as setting the high-water mark in hits, with five hits and three doubles on June 21 against the RedPocket Mobiles.
On June 16, he joined Ty Dooley as one of just two Chukars with six-RBI games this season.
The Idaho Falls Chukars will wrap up the first half of play with a six-game homestand at Melaleuca Field. They will begin with a three-game series against Great Falls, beginning on Tuesday at 7:05 PM.
