BOISE POURS IT ON IN GAME TWO
After the Chukars win on Tuesday night, Boise came back with a vengeance, tying the three-game series at one a-piece.
Idaho Falls took the initial lead in the bottom of the first when UTL Garret Ostrander singled INF Ty Dooley in.
That, however, would be the last Chukar lead of the day.
Boise would immediately respond with four runs on three hits, including a pair of triples which brought the four runs in.
The Chukars would then scratch one away in the bottom of the fourth thanks to an RBI single from 3B Justin Trimble, which would make it a 4-2 ballgame.
Boise would add two in the fifth, one in the seventh and two more in the eighth inning.
The ninth inning is where things became a little hasty, as the Hawks poured 10 runs on their seven-run lead, using up three IF arms on just three hits, six walks and a pair of hit batsmen.
UTL Garret Ostrander had his third three-hit performance of the season and OF Sam Canton extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
The 19-3 loss is the largest loss of the season for Idaho Falls.
The rubber match between Boise and Idaho Falls is Thursday, at 7:05 PM at Melaleuca Field. Southpaw LHP Seth Spencer gets the start for the Chukars.
All games can be heard on 980AM KSPZ the SportsZone and streamed on the HomeTeam Network.
