BOISE BASHES THEIR WAY TO ANOTHER WIN
Idaho Falls dropped their Saturday contest in Boise, by a score of 17-10. Boise has now won four of their first five series of the season.
For the third time in the series, Idaho Falls took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. OF Sam Canton hit his team-leading eighth home run of the season. It was his second time leading off a game with a solo home run. Two batters later, 1B Justin Trimble hit his sixth home run of the season, giving IF a 3-0 lead.
That, however, was all the momentum the Chuks could muster up. Boise put four up in the bottom of the first, and eight in the second.
Eight Chuks recorded a hit on the day, and OF Sam Canton increased his league-lead in the hit department with four, now at 42. His four runs score was also a team high in a game this year.
1B Justin Trimble had a pair of hits and three driven in.
Idaho Falls wraps up the series on Sunday before heading back to Melaleuca Field or another six-game series against the Boise Hawks, the first half of a 12-game homestand.
All games can be heard on 980AM KSPZ the SportsZone, and streamed on the HomeTeam Network.
