Idaho Falls Scorches In 13-5 Win To End Losing Streak
The Idaho Falls Chukars 13 game losing streak comes to a screeching halt after beating the Boise Hawks 13-5
Chukars' pitching shined bright all night, only allowing a season low 5 runs on just 7 hits
The Hawks took an early lead in the bottom of the 1st inning after Ethan Underwood’s RBI single to left field, and was followed by a sacrifice fly ball to center field from Parker Depasquale, pushing Tyler Best home
However, the Chukars were not discouraged as they put up two runs of their own just a half inning later off an error, tying the game. Abe Valdez and Caleb Royer scored unearned runs
The top of the 7th would eventually seal the win for the scrapy Chuks, where we saw 5 runs scored from a Justin Trimble RBI Homer, allowing “Wes Wes Wes” Mitchell to cross home plate as well. Mason Colins got in on the fun adding another run. Then Caleb Royer and Abe Valdez would cross home plate again, before the half inning would come to an end.
The Chukars played solid games on both the offensive and defensive sides tonight, leading to us getting our second win.
Idaho Falls and the Hawks will continue the Highway Series with game 4 on Friday night, with first pitch being at 7:05 pm.
All Chukar games can be heard on 980AM, the SportsZone, and streamed on the HomeTeam Network.
