Billy Butler

Bio

Former MLB All-Star, Billy Butler returns to the Chukars coaching staff for a sixth season. Last season, Butler coached the top offense in the league, leading the PBL in average, doubles, RBI, extra-base hits, and slugging. The Florida native started his playing career in Idaho Falls as a first-round draft pick in 2004. He would go on to play 10 MLB seasons with Kansas City, Oakland and the New York Yankees. Butler was a 2012 All-Star and awarded a Silver Slugger Award, and followed that up with playing all 162 games in 2013 Royals in 2013. After his playing career, he returned to Idaho Falls where he owns and operates the Idaho Athlete Project, which aims to help local athletes improve their baseball and softball skills.
