Signed out of Venezuela by the Kansas City Royals, Salvador Perez played with the Idaho Falls Chukars from 2008 til 2009. He batted .309 with the Chukars in 2009, with 38 RBI, 14 2B, three triples, and two home runs. Salvy made his MLB debut with the Royals on August 10, 2011, helping the Royals win the 2015 World Series, where his perfromance garned him World Series MVP Honors. Perez is a seven-time All-Star, a four-time Silver Slugger winner, and a five-time Gold Glove recipient. In 2021, he led the major leagues with 48 homers and 121 RBI, all record highs for a catcher.
