Jake "Peav" Peavy started two games for the Idaho Falls Padres in 1999, where he picked up the win in both starts, only walking one batter and striking out 13 while not allowing a run. Peavy would make his MLB debut on June 22, 2002 against the New York Yankees, and went on to pitch for 15 seasons in the big leagues. His best season was in 2007, where he went 19-6 with a 2.54 ERA with 240 strikeouts to 68 walks, and won the National League Cy Young Award for his spectacular season. Peavy also pitched for the White Sox, Giants, and the Red Sox, finishing his career with a 152-126 record and 2,207 career strikeouts. He has two World Series rings with the Giants and Red Sox.
